In the heart of very hip downtown St Pete. Real genuine comfort food. Delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, with all kinds of variations. Great hand-cut french fries. Didn't really care for the tomato soup but that's entirely a matter of personal preference. I just like a different style of tomato soup.
Limited counter space and outside seating. Owner and server we're both very nice and it's a friendly place with the patrons at the counter talking with each other.
A little on the expensive side for grilled cheese sandwiches, but they are top quality, made with great ingredients. Now that Tom Chee in Tyrone is closed, this is the only grilled cheese establishment in town. Will definitely be back. People in our party had the classic grilled cheese with tomatoes, another person had the notorious PIG. We each had something different and everybody enjoyed it.
I had planned on going to the Chihuly Museum and googled a place for lunch that was close by.This place came up. We went after the museum visit and WOW it was fantastic. 12 seats at the counter. Eddie was at the press, hard at work turning out cheesy morsels of goodness. I had a regular cheddar with bacon and my friend had the Caprese melt. The mozzarella in the Caprese was creamy and gooey with fresh sliced tomato and fresh basil . My cheddar was oozing with melty heaven, thick sliced bacon and both were PERFECTLY toasted. We had a “ sip” size of house made tomato soup for dipping. The sandwich was so big that we both only had half each and brought the other half home to savor for dinner. Best damn grilled cheese I’ve ever had!
OH MY GOSH! The most amazing grilled cheese I've ever had in my life. You may not think that means much, like "come on it's grilled cheese" but NO! They have achieved the perfect balance of flavors and textures using salted butter, whole milk mozzarella, and bread that isnt too porous mor too dense! It is beyond perfect description with words, only your tastebuds can vouch for it: AHHH-MA-ZING!🎉🎉🎉 Get some!!!
